OH yeah!
syrup is cool!,

i like the cook set, obviously well used!
I have a pic of globe trotters cook-set somewhere, it looks far more expensive than it is.

though my car is having problems I'm happy to pick people up!

I'm really quite into the idea of Landrovers at present, my car keeps having problems with electrics that older cars just wouldn't have! something to do with engine sensors cutting the engine off! spent over £800 on the car so far on various garage trips, we bought the car for £600, Hmmm :(
I reckon a nice old bashed up "Landy" would be great to fix it you just whack it with a hammer!

may as well point out there are still loads of wild foods for the picking!

i did some conservation work recently and found the floor littered with literally hundreds of crab apples! bitter but sweet! well worth a look!

Just sent off a bit of antler on the swap area hopefully getting a 1980's survival book in exchange!

Have you noticed friends asking questions in relation to the "BBC survivors" programme, a friend of mine just out of the blue asked me "is it easy to purify water?"

are there any quiet watchers? that haven't said hello yet?

if so please do!

Just getting into it all. I live near Peterborough.
Anyone around the March area?
Unfortunatelly can't walk to well (Arthurs disease). Built a small forge and made knife Learnt that uneasoned oak shrinks and splits when I mad the scales.
Any places around this area to meet up let me know

Hey,
Im based down in Cambridgeshire and would love to meet up with people.
Ive learnt how to make pasable knife handles and sheathes, bowls, and want to play with friction firelighting and bows. Enjoying making things from hedgerow and woodland bounty like nettle beer and variouse jams and pickles.

Very keen to meet maybe in an open workshop type way where people could bring little projects and whittle etc and chat and hopefully learn a bit from eachother, of course the venue is always the issue. Otherwise some company for a wander out and about would always be welcome.

But just to say how do!

:)

Thing is its like herding cats trying have a get together!
keeping a conversation going is hard enough!

Problem is we have a fair few lurkers that don't contribute much to the thread so we never know how many people are actually interested in stuff, which personally I find hard to get enthusiastic about. just read back a few months worth of thread and you'll get the picture.:(

If you want to organise a meet feel free, I know there are a couple of us near your way.;)

 see what I mean? Launditch

you start a conversation, then it stops...for no apparent reason.

I've been doing it for months, (years if you go back far enough) you see why I might get a bit narked!:(

so where are you Launditch I can give a lift to a couple of people from Norwich.

 yup, another day passes, without conversation.

we'll remember these times, and look back on them in fondness...
"do you remember that fortnight when nothing actualy happened? "

come on guy's,

if you want to actually get out there and do stuff the first step is communication!

If you are interested in being part of what we would like to do please, just say hello!

:D Fakenham!! I honestly didn't realise you were so close.

that's not far at all, when and where would you like to meet?

I think weekends work best for most folks though a Monday/Friday are usually good.

what is at your place?

what are the rules?
