as for next meet, May, as busy the next two months, looking at the weekend after the bank holiday, the theme this time is minimal and for those who can, a walk in!!!
Bagged myself a second hand Feuerhand from Ebay. Paid a bit too much for it as I took the first bid to see how much people are willing to pay online. Looks like it's £10.
The glass is original and flawless just needed a wash, and the tank inside is absolutely flawless and shiny. I think the old wick is original too!
I hate rust and grime so I took a bit of wire-wool and oil to it and now it's looking really nice. Dead pleased with it. But my hands now stink of WD40 because that's all I had to hand. Usually would use 3 in 1 or gun-oil.
Just needs a new wick (£1.50) and a splash of paraffin in it for it's first burn since it was dug out of some persons shed.
Stamp on it dates back to West Germany. What a cracking find!
Good find, if you go to Thorns the hard wear store in the city (opposite Jarrolds) they sell wicks by the meter, just take in your old one to get the correct size, cheap!
Hey guys,
So I'm a newbie to the forums. I'm an outdoor activity instructor in west runton, and iv discovered a love for bushcraft I know you guys meet up and stuff, I was just wondering what you guys do when you meet up? Do you sleep under tarps or make proper shelters and stuff? I'm just generally interested and will hopefully come for a meet up at some point
Just had one of those scammers knock on my door. Eastern European woman pretending to be deaf and selling her pencil drawings to pay for her schooling. The bloody things are prints. She even rubbed one with her thumb to prove it was pencil. The pencil on the thumb before hand trick. She nearly had me fooled. lol
