Just a note on knobs. I found a 3' solid plastic stick...kept it around until I also found a hard rubber gear shift knob. Discoved that the knob fits the narrow end and cheap rubber crutch tip fits the wider end making a perfectly balanced and comfortable walking stick.

You just never know what you'll use YOUR knob for
