No log in option

  • Hey Guest, Early bird pricing on the Summer Moot (29th July - 10th August) available until April 6th, we'd love you to come. PLEASE CLICK HERE to early bird price and get more information.
When I am logged in there is a log out option.
When I am logged out there is no Log in option.

I use the forum index as my bookmark.
I use "crap cleaner" to do just that.
It, as part of it's duties, clears all user names and passwords and as a result when I next return I am an unknown user, like an unregistered guest.

The log in, on most other VB sites I visit, is usually in the box occupied by the user name/time/private message info.
I don't know if you were aware, have done it deliberately or have just never noticed.

No biggie, just making you aware

Thanks

Rab

What if you log into the homepage

http://www,bushcraftuk.com

Can you tick Remember Me ?

Then use the blue "Forum" button in the red bar, or hit one of the "Forum Latest Posts" righthand side of the screen.

You should be able to logout below your name then

OK ........ does anyone know how to get these worms back in their can ;) :D :D :D

Shewie, in the interests of clarity, the site is fine, I can log in and out every time no problem, it is an observation.

You have now pointed out that the site has 2 forum indexes !!
http://www.bushcraftuk.com/index.php/Forums.html the one you sent me too

and

http://www.bushcraftuk.com/forum/index.php the one I use !!

one is embedded in html and the log in is beside it on the page (your link)
The other is the forum itself, and on the FORUM there is no log in. (my link)

How very odd

but enough for tonight ......... I'm up and on the road at 5am ;)

enjoy

its a slight annoyance and causes some people problems, but the main page http://www.bushcraftuk.com/index.php/Forums.html uses frames so that it loads a page within a page.

I think most people end up using the direct link to the forum though, but those not in the know find it difficult to post a link to a specific thread because the frame always shows the main url and not the thread url.

I've got the stage I reply to a thread so that I can log in.

I know you can log in to the main site, but its the forum I have book marked.
I tick the remember me, but every time my PC crashes (happens a lot) I loose all my log ins.

It would be handy to log in from the forum rather than having to go to the main site page when you want to check new or subscribed threads.

I click on "Members List" to login.

You can instruct CCleaner to leave passwords/settings of your choice alone ("Options", then "Cookies").
