New (old) US flying mittens

I wanted a pair of these last winter but never got around to buying some. Found some at a good price that appear to be unused. Anyway just thought I'd share some photos. The normal sized glove is for size perspective.

Nice, but I'm surprised the "leather" isn't. But then it would cost more.

How can you tell (I'm not very good at telling) it does smell like leather and the underside is suede like

I agree, it does look like leather, especially the edge, and all the specs say leather thumb and palm, but the label says:



Anyway, they do look the job

That seems like very good value for those. Really like how you can disassemble them for more efficient drying.

Yeah strange, I guess the thumb and palm isn't a 'back'? I gave them a clean yesterday, it definitely has a leather smell at least.

I was going purely on the label, I'd be very happy to be wrong, but given up on the number of times I've bought belts claiming to be leather and then found they aren't.
