The classic. Personally not a fan of the 110, but it was one I just had to have when I was younger. I think I ended up with a wobbly cheapo copy. Still definitely see the appeal, but I need something a lot lighter than a Buck for hard work.

It is the favourite knife of sharpening and cutting competition winner, Ian “Longstrider” Rowlandson who got his 110 to a razor edge and shows it off here.

yes not my favourite of knives but wanted one because back in the day was the knife.....

I do love a Buck 100 series.
Why did you decide to go for the Hunter this time over a new Ranger?

don't like the finger groves
I had a finger groove version. It looked great, but wasn’t practical. I sold it to Longstrider if I remember right. It probably fit his hand better than mine, he’s not a small bloke ;)

For clarity, he’s not the avatar on that video, no idea who he is but he’s nicked Ians vid.

I’ve just seen this CJRB Pyrite Bowie, I won’t be getting one but it’s a nice take on that style of hunter/fighter knife.

That was filmed in a portacabin that served as my workplace years ago. Filmed and posted by my mate and work colleague.
That 110 had been out with me that night and had paunched out and de-footed about 20 rabbits before I called in to see my mate on the way home.

To the O.P. ... A 110 simply will not let you down. My EDC these days is a 110 slimline professonal with an S30V blade as I can carry it pocket-clipped rather than in a belt pouch. Not quite as pleasing in the hand as a good bit of brass and rosewood but still as good as an 'occasional use' knife will ever need to be.
IMO you made a fine choice fella ;)

Cheers Ian. Good to know the history of that iconic vid, it’s been around for years and I thought it had your name on it. Apologies to your mate for accusing him of thievery. ;)
