Hello bushcrafters. First time posting photos so fingers crossed.
Just bought an old axe which came today so had to do some chopping! Here is a spoon I carved from a lovely peice of two tone lime wood from the firewood pile. I don't have a proper spoon knife so I made do with a sharp hoof knife. The spoon is a bit rustic as I haven't bothered to sand it yet, might just leave it as it is though.
The knife in the centre of the photo is one I made a while ago from an old file. It holds a good single bevel edge and is good for carving or skinning. The handle is sycamore which has darkened to a lovely honey colour since I made it last year. Now must make a proper spoon knife.
Cheers, Richard.
