Nettle Bow String?

Toddy - the last nettle cord I made, I followed advice given by you in an earlier thread. You suggested "refining" the raw fibres...or something like that..

I took my fibers I had collected and rapidly rubbed them between my palms, broke off all the chaff and was left with amazingly clean fiber - it made excellent cord! The diameter was probably about 1/3 less than I had previously made, but at least as strong - perhaps stronger.

Traditional bow-strings generally have a single loop and are tied on to the bottom nock using a bowyers knot

The Tied bottom nock always stays in place and the upper loop is simply slid onto and off of the nock to string the bow.
