Nessie ready for HT

Finally sorted my workshop out, so I got stuck in and put this grind on a nessie blade I shaped years ago

Thats gonna be a slicey fella and no mistake....what the thickness of it mate?

It varies a bit, it is full flat grind and is 3mm on the widest point and just under 2.5mm in the narrow area. It sounds thicker than it is because of the full flat so yet will be nearly kitchen knife slicey. I think that is how the nessy was originally designed.

What do you guys think for a handle? Maybe antler?

I'm well for a slicer blade, or patch knife that isn't too big but very keen. Antler may be out of fashion in some places but can look great. Stacked leather, or birch bark give a great grip too and both very traditional. Wood is lovely but can bring its own problems.

It is normalised and I have started getting the handle assembly ready; decided on something traditional in the end.
