Ah! no the Brit issue ones are a little different not as nice to look at, and a lot worse to use, the work as a levered piercing tool rather than a moving shear if that makes sense,

ok, looking at it, the blade goes on the inside and the ^ goes over the rim of the can and you want to be pushing it forward (^ bit leading) and pulling upwards to open the can.
Yep... and works well once you get the hang of it....
Always just used the one on the SAK or a P38.
As good as the tiny P38 is, bayonets were used to open tins instead...
