I bought a hatchet a while back which has always been a bit of a puzzle to me as it's different to almost all the other hatchets I've seen, and bears a strange 'Gilwell' stamp with a rampant lion above it. I was wondering if it was some old Scout hatchet commemorating something to do with Baden-Powell. Does anyone here know any more about this sort of hatchet? Here's a picture of the head and stamp with a sharpening puck for scale. The head is quite small, maybe between 1 and 1.25lb. Any info gratefully accepted.

Thanks. Yeah, I saw that post earlier, but it seemed to fizzle out before the OP got a definitive answer. My hatchet does look like it has the original haft and mask (although the latter is a bit weathered). Here's a close up of the stamp.
