Heres the steps so far...

This is how it started.

Mark out the door.

These are the ends that came off. I would like to turn one of them into a wok of some sort. :)

Heres the first step with the two ends cut off and the door cut out.

Thats the door that i cut out. The hole was already on it so ive decided to use that to attach the latch.

This is some of the crappy welding that ive done. Ive welded it in most places but not all so far still to be done.

This is the project so far. Im going to progress and update next weekend.

Keep it up.

Looks like you need to clean up the area you weld first. Clear the paint off. I'm on a learning curve with welding at the minute.

All the best

Looks good so far mate. If iI was you I would have cleaned a good amount of the paint off the cylinder before welding the lid on makes welding much neater. I presume it's an arc welder you're using?

Have a look on line or yellow pages or something for someone local who could sand/shot blast the whole thing for you. Would make everything lovely to work with including the woks.

I know a place that will stand boas the whole lot. I would have to sand blast it and paint it straight away else it would rust.
