My New Necker

This is my new neck knife made by Onnen.
What you can't see is the magnet in the sheath that helpsto guide the blade back into it single handedly.I'm not sure what woods he used ,I forgot to ask when he gave it to me(Iwas a bit excited).The knife feels alive in my hand and is like a razor,I'll be trying it out on a spoon but I don't think I'll be able to do the knife the justice it deserves.
The blade is 2 1/2 inches long and 2mm thick and the handle is 3 inches long.

The first thing I thought when I saw it was "fish" so yes it does make me think of flowing.

The sheath is made from a single piece of wood that was split to fit the magnet and then joined with such precision that I can't find the join,I know its there somewhere.

Heres one that Onen made for me.

Excellent craftmanship, and as I spend so much time on (or if you've seen me canoeing in) the water he incorporated some cork into the handle for bouancy.

Not yet mate ,he only got a computer last week.But give him time,at the minute his work is very exclusive.As far as I know there's less than half a dozen of these knives.

He's a member on here but i don't think he's doing commissions. He may do a few and then put them up for sale but you'll probably just have to keep an eye out. I was lucky enough to be in his workshop when he was doing Chris's, Stewarts and Rolly's and, i've got to say, i'm in awe of the guy's talent. Nicer bloke you could not meet and see's to communicate with wood in a way we could only dream of. The guy rocks!
