VERY nice set up. I like that telescopic funnel system a lot. Well done!



But... having had my hobo stove topple over once, I've now fitted a hinged tripod base to it. Now it can take pretty much any terrain with ease and not dump my dinner onto the ground. Check out the hobo stove thread for other mods that can be done.

the tripod base seems a very good idea
do i find your solution in the the hobo stove thread
i would love to see what you did with it

Yes, photos of the tripod modification are in that thread posting number #378, and there are also variations of that tripod using stiff wire etc.

yes i believe this would work...

in the base of the stove i drilled a hole for a tent peg
so i can peg it down to the ground
but on a rock it's useless

oh well i need to think about it
