Looks like a cross of a couple of my favourite blades with a Lannyman twist. What slabs are you gonna put on it?
ahhhhhhh, im sorry to say nout fancey, money is tight (as always) so it will be what i can find, probley some ash, might stain it a bit though before i oil the scales....
I've got a friend who has ash slabs. He soaked the finished knife in Danish oil for three days and it came out looking stunning. Stabilised too, which is obviously a bonus.

Aroka (sp ?) is a very hard dark wood ( think garden furniture ) the cross cut comes up lovely with a polish and oil.

Iroka is the same stuff that is used on the new Ray Mears Bushcraft knife by SWC. Looks really nice...
this slab ( 6" x 6" by about 12mm thick ) is cross cut so you have big end grain patterns in it, looks good ( very hard stuff ! )
