I have just finished putting together a Damascus Steel bushcrafting knife.
Dont ask me any questions about the blade - it was a gift, sourced on evil bay - but the handle is cherry epoxied and rivitted on, the sheath, veg tanned leather wet moulded and treated with boiling water - it is a double dangler - and the fire steel is a well used LMF model rehandled fot this project. The knife sends showers of sparks of it at the least effort!
The photo is pretty poor and it all looks nicer in real life.
I think this may become my main "user" as it takes and holds a great edge, feels great in the hand and is a joy to use.
Although the steel is "pretty" it is also very practical!
