Sometimes i just can't resist when I see a really nice knife for sale. This one is made by Simon Nylund, he is about 16 and lives in Finland. The Blade is high carbon stainless by Swedish smith Robert Mattson. Simon and his brother Jocob have a great website http://www.multi.fi/~mnylund/fronpage2.html and have won many competitions with their knives. I have wanted one for a while but they have always been out of my price range, finally saw this one advertised second hand on friday and it arrived this morning, it works beautifully.

Just took a look at the website and besides the wondeful knives they also make beautiful guitars so its safe to say i hate him

Very fine knife indeed. Excellent handicraft. Only drawback; it is too nice to be used .

Excellent workmanship. I too know a young fellow, who makes some great bushcraft knives, catapults and pocket knife embellishments. I met him thru another forum, may I publish a link to his work?

Being new, I don't want to get in trouble with the mod's.

Definitely not - the only sort of knives in this house are users! Robin's already had it in action making feather sticks to light the log burner
