My first knife nearly done!

Still got a bit of finishing to do on this but it'll never be a real beauty queen so I thought I'd get some pics up here. It's my first knife build from a blade blank and I'm dead chuffed as its solid, really comfy and handles well. It's a Brusletto Kystkniv blade, brass bolster, Tagua nut, red fibre liners and sacked cork floor tiles (I had wanted birch bark but these were cheaper and easier for me and have turned out great!)
I made a bit of a pigs ear of the sheath but its solid and the knife isn't ever coming out without a solid tug. I going to get a dangler for it but in the meantime a bit of paracord'll hold it to my belt. It's got a cork insert inside which worked out well.
Anyway I'm loving this little bit of kit and I'm sure it won't be the last I'll do! Cheers :)

Cheers gents. Your kind feedback is much appreciated!
I got the idea of using cork tiles from a member on here on a old thread about birchbark handles. They really work a treat and with the inexpensive blade and 80p Tagua nut the whole package has come in really cheap. I might even try it in the sink to see if it'll float! :p

Yeah the Brusletto Kystkniv is their only sticktang knife with a lanyard to prevent it being lost in the drink right!
I got the nut from a local independant hardware store that has a small section of wood turning bits. I think you can get them on eBay and its a cracking material to use. Easy to work and dead hard also! 🙂
