My attempt at a walking staff

Found this branch whilst on a bimble so i cut the ends straight, and removed the bark. As it was a light colour i burnt it with a blowtorch, lightly sanded it an sprayed it with clear laquer. A paracord handle and bobs your uncle. I've no idea what the wood is.

Nice work bud love the segmental arch in the fireplace too makes for a nice backdrop in the photos of ya work.
