Mulled wine recipes please :-)

I'm done; the shopping is finished, wrapped, stored and organised. We are warm and comfortable and everyone's well
It's time to totally mellow out.

In my redd out of the pantry I found four bottles of wine I forgot we had.....three reds and a white.
I'm not much of a drinker, on the whole I'm the indeal designated driver but I have a notion for a mug of hot mulled wine

Anyone got a good recipe ?

We bought a packet of Schwartz Mulled wine spice 6 sachets added it to some cheap sherry and it tasted just the same as the bought stuff at nearly £7 a bottle and we got a Lt for under a fiver.

In the end I sliced up an orange and added that with some star anise and cinnamon, a spoonful of the syrup from the big ginger jar, and a good twist of black pepper, to the wine in a saucepan and brought it slowly up to heat.

It was rather good
