I used to enjoy his videos a lot. The one where he builds a capstan from logs in the forest and uses it to raise his timber frame is one of my favourites.
Of late though he’s gone with the trend of Far Eastern tools and techniques. I feel this fad is a shame really as it gives the impression that our western tools are less accurate/more clumsy, which is absolutely not the case at all.
I feel we should keep hold of our own traditions and not adopt something that is flashy and exotic for fear of losing a part of our own heritage.
