Bushcrafter (boy, I've got a lot to say!)
I like your WW1 entrenching tool.
2.50 pounds,what a bargain!

Theo

I'll second that! Saw one over here last year in a vide grenier (French boot fair) in much worse condition than yours was and the cheeky bugger wanted €20 for it. I respectfully declined. Eventually got a US army folding shovel thing for €5, just needs a new handle fitted.

Really impressive clean up job on them all Darren.

Bargains, I love 'em!

In the woods if possible.

That's exactly the same as mine. Had it donkey's years, I think I paid about a fiver for it at Anchor Surplus. It nearly got me arrested at Alexandria airport when it set the metal detectors off! They were sure I must be packing an Uzi or something. :yikes:

Nice looking axes/tool.

How did you clean them?

I'm a bit jealous, looking for axe heads on car boots for a while, but can not find anything interesting.

cheers,

Jasper

Hello Jasper ,to clean them i soak them in Vinegar for an hour, then a wire brush attachment on my drill then i finish it with some wet & dry sandpaper and then sharpen the blade. Thanks for looking.
