I really really love these little adzes. I am just starting to realise how versatile and useful they are likely to be....mallet and chisle in one hand :)
I had another go yesterday, carving some green hazel

This was my second home made blade. It is holding up extremely well, not rolling or chipping

it seems big now, but by the time its carved down and dried it wont be so fat. But I would like to try one with a heftier lipped blade...the north west carvers use them up to 3 and 4 inches wide...
