A few weeks back we had masses of frog spawn in our pond (it's about 25 foot x 15 and nearly 5 foot deep at its deepest) but now there are no tadpoles at all.
Does anyone know of any preditors that will take all the frog spawn because I doubt one would lose all the tadpoles once they had emerged. I did see a few crows take off from the shallow end one morning - will they eat frog spawn?
The pond is clean - it has sticklebacks, newts, etc. so I don't think they've died of any pollutant or anything.
Ideas welcome!
