Ministers plan huge sell-off of Britain's forests

  • Come along to the amazing Summer Moot (21st July - 2nd August), a festival of bushcrafting and camping in a beautiful woodland PLEASE CLICK HERE for more information.
How do you work out shares ? Financial commitments and what kind of committee do you arrange ? What sort of insurances do you cover, and pay for ? Who decides how much use the woodland can bear ? How do you arrange to get work done on the boundaries, drainage, access and still have the woods available for folks to chill out.

It's not unsurmountable, but it's not as straightforward as it might first seem.

cheers,
Toddy

Not completely followed this, but here is my uninformed, un-educated opinion. Isn't that what the National Trust did in the beginning, perhaps a look at how they went about it?

Go for it :D
Thing is though, as a general rule you can't use the National Trust properties unless you pay, and even then you can't use their woodlands for bushcraft......unless you're in Scotland.

I suspect the best way to do this would be to work with a small group of people that you actually like spending time with.

Lots of threads on this topic a few years ago.

cheers,
Toddy
