Mike, sorry mate couldn't remember your full user name otherwise I would have also thanked you via pm as well!!!
Well chuffed mate, I know it seems like the wood isn't to everyone's taste but I think it will suit me fine!!!
Anyway the worst bit is to come for me making the first cut.... gonna clean the wood up first to have a look at the grain see were to cut it.
Belt sander with not too course a grit?
Gonna take it easy...is it poss to scorch it?
Not so used to hard wood ( used to work in a pine factory)
Hope the hand is on the mend and get ready for more dumb questions!!

How do you send a pint through the post?

Cocobola when finely finished is lovely stuff mate. Finish through the grades of sandpaper and then down to fine steel wool. I then use Bri-wax and buff on all my woods. Take it easy on the belt ... I've found it's easy to scorch any of the woods. Can't wait to see the pics

Healing OK mate and the tendons have eased up a lot. Even going back in the workshop tomorrow
