Mid-Wales and The Borders 2022 Bush Camp – 11th to 13th March, Hafren Forest

You are invited to come along to the Mid-Wales and The Borders Bush Camp at Hafren Forest at the outdoor centre facilities at Penygeulan near Staylittle. This is a fantastic site on the edge of the forest that gives us access to some great facilities in the area from canoeing on Llyn Clywedog, cycling the forest cycle routes and walking to the source of the River Severn in the Pumlumon hills – or, of course, just chilling out.

You have the choice of staying 1, 2 or 3 nights. There is ample ground-dwelling space (a whole field) and some hanging space – bring options to give yourself maximum flexibility. We will have access to the toilets and water supply of the study centre but bring drinking water.

We will have a communal open fire, but you will be required to cook on your own stove (no additional open fires) to maintain social distancing. We will carry out a risk assessment and put in place whatever processes necessary following Welsh Government rules at the time. Obviously, if things change, we will have to adapt including cancellation if necessary.

Pricing: £10 per night per person including use of showers and toilets

If you fancy coming along, cut and paste the list to your response and add your name.

Very excited about this as due to an on call change I missed it last time but I am now in a job that doesn’t have weekend call :-)

Aiming to do the Friday and Saturday nights if possible.

We are interested, but now we have a rescued dog. Haven't tried him in a tent yet, but he is well behaved and learns fast. If he's allowed we would like to give it a go.

Aargh, sorry, but because we're sharing the field with sheep we aren't allowed dogs :(

I'll double check but that was certainly one of the conditions last time.
