Looks like a very useable knife, the pommel and the slight drop point shape does it all for the overall impression.

Not quite the same finish (but I'm taking notes).. this is the version I made

The scales are holly, and the pins are bits from an old hat rail. Luckily the scales hide the welding of the pommel.
