Hi,

This is project that started last xmas when i help a mates friend make this own knife up. The H/T was a bit of a problem but we got over it in the end.
So with this H/T prob in mined we started on making up a simply propane forge from bits and pieces that we found in work and skips.

This is it so far.

is that going to be used for forging or just heat treating? I'm trying to work out how large the pipe is (it could be a 47kg propane cylinder, or a 6" pipe).

It will be interesting to see how it all comes together, especially the burners. It doesn't look like any gas forge I've used ;)

Good looking bit of work. It's going to be a mighty small chamber once you line it with superwool or the like, and I worry about how oxidizing the flame might be. Generally speaking, one 1" burner is good for 350 cubic inches of chamber space. Two burners on a chamber that small is something of an overkill.
