I find myself making, modding and fixing all sorts, sometimes I have
half an idea of what I'm doing other times its figure experiment as I go, some work out
some go pear shape and hell of a lot get started but not finished. Feel free to critisise, advise,
throw ideas or just share your thoughts. Thanks

A pump action space blaster thing, made from scraps of beech wood,
made in seperate layers, shaped, routered and glued together,
with a couple of mags

A wilki knife I got as an unfinished blade, made leather sheath for it
and mounted to a molle drop panel, altered some straps off an Alice pack
with the closure snaps to make handle retainer, that was some years back.
Today altered a surplus pouch, grenade pouch I think ? to fix to the sheath with
the option of removing and mounting to a belt, strap or other.

Over the years have collected a few AA Mini Maglites, upgraded LEDs,
reflectors, re charge batterys and some with tail clicky switchs,
they have proved reliable and simple to deal with, though sometimes
having em rattle around in a pack isnt helpful, the original Maglite pouch
is showing its age and the belt loop has never been reliable with its velcro
fixing.

I did have a go at making my own sort of Tac Tie with 25mm strap and ladder lock,
it didnt work very well and realised why Maxpeditions Tac Tie is the way it is : )

The velcro makes hell of noise, so,
for silent opening the option would be to cover the velcro on the inside flap
closure, then run some shock cord through the pull loop on the flap closure
and around the bottom of the pouch, a pull tap stitched to the bottom of the looped
shock cord to make opening easier.
