Mad Max combo... its a close copy of a Chris Reeves pacific, made purely as a one off for my own collection/use. no serrations, slightly bigger than the original and made from 6mm o1

I much prefer it without serrations. I got rid of my Green Beret for that reason

That's a sexy looking work of art Mark. Back when I collected I always wanted one of CR's knives.
Think it looks much cleaner as a clean blade sans serrations. I know they have a place on some blades but personaly they're not my thing.
What are you thinking sheath wise?

Very tidy. A bit tactical for my tastes but I get that is the look you are going for. The steel has a wonderful finish.
Heat treated my first blade just this evening and am now going to order some finer grit papers to finish it.
I quenched it in the oil we used to make pakora last week and it smelt great!

thanks, i finished a sheath for it this afternoon, made from 4mm veg tan leather. not perfect i know but functional

Gotta know how you cut the scales to leave that 1mm step round the tang. Looks superb.

no short cuts with this one, every curve by hand with files and paper, none of my grinders had the right curvature and had to radius the tang and spine
