... go out in the mid day sun. No idea what this fella was thinking. I found him puffed up and warding off a grass snake who lost interest after he successfully fooled her into thinking he was twice the size.

On a more serious note, Windeze would've fixed that bloating...

It's really cool behaviour. The toad on seeing the snake will puff itself up and stand on tiptoe. As the snake moves around the toad investigating, the toad angles itself so the snake always thinks it is bigger than expected and too big to eat. Doesn't always work mind.
