Lowe Alpine Sting belt replacement

Has anybody added a replacement hip belt to a LA Sting? The existing one is sewn in and the only way I can see of attaching an alternative would be via the velcro flap that covers the back adjustment. I just don't see how the load would transfer properly as it is quite loose

Did you get this sorted out? I have the Saracen (2nd gen PLCE pocket model), I think it’s the same belt and works well for me and my son. Getting a Sting for him tomorrow as the Saracen is to big for DoE….

No, I never went any further with it. I picked up one of the black stings from Holland and am using it as-is
