Had a big bit of veg tan so I used it up on these...I got 8 out of it.

Now I have put bottoms on them, (a weary task) and finally got round to waxing them.

Most came out fine, but some wax didnt sink in.

I dont have a heat gun on me, could I melt it off with a candle?

Two came out dire. The wax didnt sink in well at all, and they are soft and pink overlain with beeswax (I assume my wax wasnt hot enough)

I tried re dipping one, -no use. would a heat gun help those?

But doesnt it give you a sense of achievement to make stuff like this!

Those look great! I wouldn't try melting the wax with a candle, you'll get a lot of carbon deposited on them. Beesqx doesn't need a lot of heat do you have a heat source of any kind at all?
