Looking to make a leather cover for the axe head.

What thickness of leather to use and will a domestic sewing machine cope stitching it?

Nr Chester
Some veg tan leather 3mm is a good start.
Stitching done by hand with the holes made with an awl, or something sharp n pointy.

Thanks for the replies.

What's VEG leather?

Drilling sounds good, I could use the dremel.

Am I going the right way stitching or is riveting better. Or a bit of both?
