I make spacers with rubber gasket material and a pair of punches…and a hammer.
uPVC down pipe will heat mould into belt loops and clips, and is tougher than Kdyed.
Not really. I bought my foam from KnifeKits.com. I decided that getting the right type, just what I needed, was more economic than experimenting with domestic foam sources that often wanted to sell more material than I needed. I tried roll mat and it melted and stuck to the kydex, tearing up the surface and becoming permanently thinner. My time is valuable and I do not want to waste it trying to save a couple quid….I have done this on more occasions than I can count and I am trying to learn!Made my Foam press today and tried to make sheath mark 1. I think my foam is a bit too stiff and maybe didn't get the 2mm kydex hot enough. 170 for 3 mins in the oven
I'm looking at getting a cheap roll mat from mountain warehouse, any other suggestions for foam?
