Knife project

I have a very old scout knife (bought by myself as souvenir in late '60s)

The 14cm long blade is quite good Solingen German steel (always used to hold reasonable edge)

The handle is too short for my adult hands

My plan is to remove the remains of the metal handle which. Will leave a solid tang 9x52mm

I was thinking of a solid wood handle 3.5 cm X 11.5 cm

What do people think? Worth a project? Is the tang too short compared to handle length?

Sounds like a good idea to me. If you find the tang to short, you could have a piece welded on to lengthen it. Post up a photo of it.

Remember also that the handle length and the tang length needn't neccessarily be the same.
