Thats an interesting design. Whilst blade shape is often a matter of choosing the right tool for the job, I think that personal preference comes into it far more than is often mentioned. Personally I would not normally go for a blade with such a "blunt" point, but that doesn't mean I think it's a bad design.
I guess from the grind lines that you plan on having it hollow ground? A Scandi style edge that size would take for ever to sharpen, even if it only needed a light touch-up.
At 5.5mm thick it will be a hefty tool, useful for some serious chopping as well as general tasks about camp.
