Kielder Lakeside Way

Hi all,

I was toying with the idea of walking the full Kielder Lakeside Way, all 27 miles of it!

Has anyone done this, and if so, any advice?

I've done sponsored walks on part of it, 10 mile or so and really enjoyed that.

Walked the north shore from Kielder Village down to Fallstone with a mate in the summer. Mind you, we went with the intention of hammocking at the half way mark. Kind of overstepped that a little as the morning leg only lasted about 40 minutes. It was about 10 miles, like your trek. I enjoyed it, but felt the route lacked diversity. The best bit by far was sitting around the camp fire with a few whiskeys and some bacon.
