Bluebird sky and a friend to christen his new Apache canoe, so off to Loch Lomond.

Bit frosty, but still keen to paddle, this is the compass well on the boat, even at 10am.

Left the Xmas cake in the car at Luss by mistake and left all the 'brew up' arrangements to my wee bro, great Jetboil etc
but no Gas ! So a Whisky in the wee coffee flask eeked it out.

New boat, new paddler.

There were at least two hammock campers at the narrows, they looked like they were off for a paddle when we passed.

Cracking trip, did you meet all the boys over there staying buddy?

The Aldochlay layby was full of roof racked cars and we saw 3 or more hammocks slung just at the south side of the narrows, no campers present though. We went round Inchconnachan and Inchmoan and only saw one open boater.

Cracking dry weather. Quite foggy just now, in Helensburgh 3 miles from the Loch.

Fine pics Nick

It's looking quite full at the moment, hoping to get out there in the not too distant future, it's been too long
