Well this arrived today, purchased for £20 plus postage on Vinted. I'm very impressed with both the bag itself and the condition. It feels a very high quality, well made item and comfortable to wear, although I've only worn it around the house with no real weight in it. I love the slightly retro colour. Just thought I would share some photos..

And I can confirm that it was made in 1991.

I've just weighed the backpack on my kitchen scales and it's coming it at around 1.95kg does that sound about right?

A Grand haul. I have a green one.
Wicked, feel free to post a photo! I ended up on YouTube and came across a channel in America and he backpacked a section of the Tahoe-Yosemite trail using 1970's kit and it looked so cool that I ended up scrolling through ebay and found an early 80's Karrimor Lynx 3 for sale for £9 so I bought it. It should be with me tomorrow so will post photos. I thought in the summer I might do a camp using that old backpack, my French Army F1 tent, my Trangia cook set or Kelly Kettle and anything else old to go with it. I'll have to get on Vinted for some extra short shorts :lmao:

It looks great, I've noticed that earlier models used a straight zip across the bottom as opposed to the rounded zips on later models. I wonder what brought about the change.

I took this on a very, very windy camp last night on Corn Du. I have to say, the extra 20L capacity over my Sabre 45 makes life SO much easier when packing kit away and for only a 150g weight penalty. I initially bought it for camping with my son, but I think I might end up using it for my solo camps too.
