That looks great! I have a black one of those from TLIM which has left me with a problem of how to shape the handle without sanding off the black from the spine on the tang....

I didn't think it through when I bought it. Think i'm going to have to shape most of the handle off the blade. Then put a protective foil finish on the spine whilst I do the final finish. Going to be a right pain.

Anyhow, sorry for the thread hijack.

Dry fit, shape it all, remove scales, vinegar patina the tang ( makes it black) sand the flats (sides) of the tang, glue on scales and wipe excess epoxy off while wet, job done...simples

Spalted Beech? Would never have guessed that. Must have been caught early. It really does look like olive wood

That knife is brilliant! Especcialy like you only used one rivet, gives it a unique look.
