I'm off on the Journeyman course (23rd sept) in a couple of weeks. Really looking forward to it and wondering if anyone else on here going?

I attended a journeyman many years ago, you will have a great time.

I did my journeyman in 2010... it was a great experience.

I did it in 2009. Go with the flow and enjoy it!
I reckon it was one of the most rewarding weeks I have had.

A woodlore course (Ray Mears's company) that is set is sunny Scotland. It's the last of their bushcraft courses and leaves you to experience the wonders of being independent in nature, ie, cold, tired and very hungry.

Just make sure you pal doesnt snore... Or let the hedgehog escape.

Also we planned to wild camp on the day after before driving back. Hotel would be a better idea.

All in all it will be a fantastic week.

Believe all the rumours they will strip you from the start for any hiden gear...

With out doubt it is in my top few life experiences.

My home in the UK is quite near (walking distance) to where they hold the course, it is a very rich landscape the 'larder' will not be easily stripped.

Yeah I was quite surprised that we were forced to spend the entire week wearing nothing but underwear.

You'll have a great time, I did in 2006.
A very rewarding course and you learn a lot about yourself and others.
