That looks like a good book!
And you certainly got good service!
Will we be seeing some new projects based on items in the photos?

It is a wonderful book about the Same peoples art of fire. I love it!

Weyland, you as a budding Viking, have you visited Lofotr Viking Museum?
It is on Vestvågöya in Lofoten.
You can not only enjoy the museum, but also row the viking ship they have there.
Not sure about the pillaging and the other Viking past time though.

For the bushrafter interrsted in the Old Ways, they have some links to interesting projects they have done.

Unfortunately I lost the pictures from 2007. ( Slight correction to my above post, 2007 was the last year I was there, not 2008. Bad arithmetic.)

I'm taking the shot in this last one.

Wonderful pictures. It's very heartening to see a man who has found his true vocation in life and a good woman to share that life with. :)

I do not remember your or wife's face, but I certainly have seen your work place. It has been empy the last couple of times.
There is always some activity down towards the boat house, a young guy crafting Bronze ( brass?) chain mail stuff and other people. Last year my son broke one of the bows. Bad wood.

Also the animals pens are usually emty, which I dislike as I enjoy scratching the odd pig and feed a horse!

I headed that way for two reasons, one to see new stuff at Lofotr, and also because I needed to exchange money at that little bank office (SpareBank1) towards Leknes.

I stay in Reine close to Å, have you been there?

Yes, the years that I drove over we travelled about quite a bit.

One of the reasons I stopped going was the ferries being stopped between UK and Norway.

The two years that I flew over meant that I had to seriously limit the equipment I took over with me but it also limited my ability to move around.
