Hi everybody,
today me and my wife decided to spend our St. Valentino's Day (or at least a part of it walking next to a little river, named Stizzon, not so far from our house. This was a good excuse for me to do any test with my Jarno Movilli Custom Bowie. Any specs of the knife: blade lenght 7", steel A2, handle Amboina wood and SeaCow, construction hidden tang. Jarno have done this knife for me any months ago, but I ever had time to test it properly...this situation need to be fixed ....
Well, let's go to start.
The "test field"
we walked 2,0 hours about to reach this place...
Jarno's bowie has a classic, evergreen design...
I used two different options to carry the knife, both were comfortable in my opinion
a sunny, warm day...
a roe deer was here, early this morning probably
several times we need to cross the "river"...this time was easier due to the "bridge"
chopping time, this branch was 3"1/2 diameter or so
batoning and preparing wood fire...
I used my homemade firestarter to light the fire
time to leave...sure the fire was out
at home, clean the blade with water was sufficient...
All in all a fine blade, light, but sufficently rough when needed.
Hope you enjoi! Ciao from Italy!!
