I've discovered a problem searching the forums- my list of things I'd like to try and make is getting longer all the time!!!

Sofar my definite winter projects are:
finish knitting my cozy socks- cant stand having cold toes :eek:
a hobo stove- love the picture gallery
finish carving my first spoon
making a bramble basket....running out of winter months now i think :lmao::lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

What is everyone elses projects this winter?

You don't need winter socks, tough it out like your daughter did at comrie, threw her wellies away and ran about in her wet socks - hardcore bushcraft lol.

buy 4-5 new knives, make sheaths for them.
make a sheath for a knife i already have.
buy a .22 rimfire rifle
and make some sort of edge protection for a fiskars hatchet.

I've got a list as long as my arm and then some, first off is the jerry can thats sitting outside, then make a proper sheath for the knife i made last year just need to sell the missus and bambino any takers? could swap for some kit!!

Make a carving knife from razor blade
Make a knife from file or smthing else.
Hobo stove
GET WOOD...... LOADS.... ASHHHHHHHH baby and then try to make a bow next summer!

I need to do a scandi sheath for my new knife.

A mate at home wants a stainless mushroom knife, so I'll need to get that forged at some point. - Though I've never done stainless so I might grind it.

I need to heat treat a huge great knife and handle it. then get a sheath made.
got two spoons which need finishing.


oh and my dissertation :D

My winter to do list is too long-

Build and sleep in an Igloo/quinzee
Finish my pertex poncho
Finish my winter hammock
Sew a new pertex hammock
Make a down underquilt
Make a down top quilt
Learn to eskimo roll my kayak
Start on my 01 steel and yew knife
Build more tlud stoves, including a folder.
Make my first UL rocket stove.
Sew my bivi bag.
