Snow with me last night and this morning. Lovely clear blue sunny sky at the moment and the ground has a light dusting, thin layer of snow thick layer of ice underneath on the road - just glad I don't have to drive in it
Also we've had a couple of guys from malaysia on a work placement arrive yesterday - the first time one of them has ever seen snow
My normal 45 minute journey took 90 minutes this morning.
There were two distinct weather fronts I came through; it was almost a whiteout at home, then clear for 10 miles then another whiteout close to work.
Needless to say there were loads of fools who thought that just because modern cars have anti-lock brakes and other trickery that they can continue to drive as they always do. It didn't seem to me like the roads had been gritted either...
Been snowing all last night, and it looked lovely, but most has melted, its lightly falling at the moment, but i'm hoping for enough to take kids out on there sledges, we build them in dec and still havn't had a chance to try them out
Have been stuck the computer all day looking out the window. We have blizzard one minute and sunshine the next. Appears we are in the middle of two weather fronts trying to get the better of each other.
Getting better here gone through the blizzards now just white and I just had call From boss we got big tree down blocking the the road.
the neighbours are stock at the bottom of the lane only one way in the police told us not to attempt to clear it until the roads are safe so unless it all melts overnight won't be till day after tomorow
