...but as yet haven't packed anything. Started laying stuff out but any last minute guesses/reminders? I've put out a sit mat and remembered I was going to try a travel pillow in the hammock if I saw it again...

That stake, mushys & tatties looks real tasty! Is the green Spork your special stake cutting spork then?:lmao::lmao:
The green spork is the special "top of the cutlery tray" spork. Cutting duties lie with my first knife for the woods. My Mora 511 which is now my kitchen knife. After sharpening it'll slice any steak up to, and including, "feel asleep and left the steak in the coals" but that wasn't needed last night. Awesome steak only enhanced by a bit of kit that might feature as my first proper gear review!
OK, it's a salt and pepper shaker but hey, it shook and stuff came out just like it should. Winner! ;)

Nice one. Gotta have salt and pepper on a steak. I use one of the Light My Fire ones, third compartment has either Chilli Explosion or Aromat seasoning.

What's this about a mole hill?
I thought real men used a mole?

Or occasionally a badger?

Funny you should mention a badger. Something moved through the undergrowth near me a couple of times and from its size and lack of either coming closer, it running away I suspect that was a badger. I came close to needing a mole when it first made a noise 20 feet behind me after dusk!

A mole is too soft and reserved only for ladies :p

Badgers are good but its tricky to get em run between yer legs at the right moment as you're squating
