It seems to be kuksa-week!

There have been quite some people posting up their kuksas this week, and I got the drive to make one as well. Carved with axe, knife and spoon knife from sycamore.

The oil brought the grain out nicely on this one. Sycamore can be a very boring white wood but I am glad that this bit is a bit more lively.

I just got some damson wood! Very small burr on it but will have to be creative and try to use it.

I do like birch though.

I think it will be like plum. Has a purple tint in the wood grain.

Damson and plum wood will be pretty much indistinguishable.
