The powerpoint slide show that the link opens has some stunning images which made the looking worthwhile. The words, however, are pure "Hallmark" sentamentality that you might find in any birthday card. Certainly, I don't think that any major monotheistic faith would endorse or recognise those words.

If you owned a Toyota and wanted to maintain it as best you could, you would not buy a workshop manual from Tata and use that as your reference would you?

In same vain, I suspect that we tend to try and draw our knowledge for life [and beyond] from multiple man derived sources, each cobbling together their own soup of comfortable pluralist theologies.

I have to think that referring to the maker's manual [alone] is the most prudent choice to be made.

By makers manual I assume you mean the Bible.

Good point and in the same vain if your Toyota was a 35,000 year old model reading the newer 2000 year old manual wouldnt help you much either, just confuse things!

Here's a thought.....

It doesn't matter whether you're a Christian / Muslim / Buddhist / Jew / Atheist / etc. What matters is that you're a good Christian / Muslim / Buddhist / Jew / Atheist / etc.

I understand that this thread was started in relation to landscapes, but I also noticed some prominent words about God...so kind of hard not to mention it really!

The landscapes were absolutely beautiful, and when I see something of beauty, particularly in a 'natural' setting I cannot help but relate that to my spiritual understanding of life, and even though this is not to me, God persay...it is a huge, unfathamable power with a infinite number of realities and differing energy patterns that each of us percieve/are aware of and can use to a differing degree.

Even if this thread hadn't mentioned God, I would still be relating such images to a 'greater power' than I. There is magic to be found in every facet of creation, but the reasons behind the magic/creation/life you see are where the arguments and discussions lie.
